Divorce & Valentines Day!

Images-13
Whatever the statistics, divoce rates are not healthy and I say this from experience as a child from a broken family. Nobody likes to think about it but at the end of the day its a statistical fact. As a species we are just not good at monogamy. Whilst accepting the statistical probability I was recently contemplating the how and why of divorce. I realised for example how many times I had heard over the years one part of a couple say "we don't celebrate valentine's day" or for that matter a whole number of holidays/special days/birthdays etc. I strongly disagree. Many of us have just 10-20 days vacation i.e. any day that celebrates our love/togetherness as a couple is precious. It's far too easy to get caught up in the every day events that stress us all out and not spend enough time appreciating our other halves. It's not about money, it's about celebrating a union of two people(I know it sounds silly!) and the more we can all do that the better in my mind. Statistically we are doomed to failure so I for one will always try harder...
